Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 18, 2026
Rick Signs & Repairs ("Rick Signs," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit ricksigns.com (the "Website"), contact us about a sign or lighting project, or engage us through a third-party vendor platform — and how we use, store, and share that information. By using the Website or engaging our services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information we need to quote, schedule, and complete sign and lighting work.
Contact and Project Information
When you reach out by phone, form, or email, we may collect:
- Your name and the business or property you represent
- Email address and phone number
- Service address (the location of the sign or lighting work)
- A description of the issue and any photos or videos you share to help us diagnose remotely
- Any other details you choose to provide in your message
Photos and Documentation from Job Sites
During and after a service call, we may take photos or short videos of the sign, the surrounding installation area, and the completed work. These are used for documenting work performed for invoicing and warranty, closing out work orders on facilities-management platforms, internal training and quality control, and portfolio and case study material on our own marketing channels (see Section 4).
Vendor and Facilities Platform Data
If you dispatch us through Service Channel, VendorPM, Corrigo, or a similar facilities-management platform, we receive whatever information the platform routes to us — typically your business name, the site address, a work order description, and a point of contact.
Payment Information
Invoices are sent separately, and payment is handled through standard channels (check, ACH, or a third-party payment processor such as Stripe whose own privacy policy applies). We do not collect or store credit card numbers on our Website.
Website Usage Information
When you visit ricksigns.com, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically collect basic technical information — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent, and referring source. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and which need work.
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information when you submit a form on our Website, call or email or text either Rick or Tymothy directly, dispatch us a work order through a vendor platform, share photos or other materials about a sign issue, or browse our Website (technical and analytics data is collected automatically).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries and provide flat-rate quotes, schedule and complete sign repair and lighting service, issue invoices and process payments, communicate about ongoing or future projects, maintain a record of work performed at each site for warranty and reference, improve our Website and the way we communicate with prospective clients, and comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your information to anyone. Period.
4. Photos of Completed Work
The sign and lighting trade is visual. By engaging us for a job, you agree that Rick Signs may use photos and short videos of the completed work in our portfolio, on social media, in case studies, and in marketing materials, unless you tell us otherwise in writing before the job is documented.
We will not photograph customers' faces or staff without permission, and we will not share photos that reveal sensitive information about your property or business operations. If you would prefer your project not appear publicly, just let us know — we will respect that without question.
5. Vendor Platform Engagements
When we are dispatched through Service Channel, VendorPM, Corrigo, or another facilities-management platform, we exchange information with that platform on your behalf — typically check-in and check-out times, photos, work performed, parts used, and work order close-out documentation. That information is subject to both this Privacy Policy and the privacy policy of the vendor platform itself.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies to function correctly and to help us understand how the site is used. See our Cookie Policy for the specifics.
7. Third-Party Services
Our Website and operations rely on a handful of third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices:
- Webflow — website hosting
- JotForm — secure form processing for quote requests and intake forms embedded on our Website
- Google Analytics — traffic and usage analytics
- Google Maps — location and service area map
- Google Search Console / Microsoft Webmaster Tools — search performance and indexing diagnostics for our site
- Vimeo and YouTube — video content embedded in our portfolio and educational pages
- Stripe — payment processing, when used for invoicing
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam and bot prevention on our forms
- Vendor and facilities-management platforms (Service Channel, VendorPM, Corrigo) — work order dispatch and close-out
- Email and phone providers — handling your messages
We do not control these third parties' privacy practices. We choose to work with reputable providers and limit the data we share to what is needed. Information you submit through JotForm goes to JotForm's servers in addition to ours; payment information processed through Stripe is held by Stripe. Each provider has its own privacy policy you can review on their websites.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. That includes using HTTPS encryption on our Website, limiting access to project records to the people who need them (Rick and Tymothy), and securing our devices and accounts with standard protections. No system is perfectly secure. If you ever have a concern about how your information is being handled, contact us and we will address it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You may at any time request a copy of the information we have about you, ask us to correct or update inaccurate information, ask us to delete your information (subject to any record-keeping obligations we have for warranty, tax, or legal reasons), or withdraw consent for marketing communications. To make a request, email rick@ricksigns.com or call (847) 809-7900.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Website and services are intended for businesses and property owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes their child has submitted information through our Website, contact us and we will remove it.
11. External Links
Our Website may link to third-party websites — for example, vendor platforms, supplier product pages, or client websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when our business practices change or when new tools are added to our Website. When we update it, we will change the Last Updated date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be communicated more directly when appropriate.
